Rarely, if ever do I use a courier service- so upon needing one last minute, I did a search for courier service in Miami and up popped 90 minute Courier. I admit the name is what drew me. I called and gave them my info and scheduled a pick up for 2 pm - i called at noon. no problem great. Then come 2:30 pm., still no pick up form 90 minute courier. When I called to check status, the receptionist said, "it's gonna be another 20 minutes".Now, this was a time sensitive issue hence WHY I picked a service that said, " delivery within 90 minutes or it's free!" slapped all over their website. When i started to ask why the pick up wasn't done in the requested scheduled time, the woman said hold and left me speaking. When a man came on the phone, I asked very simply, um, isn't the delivery suppossed to be free if not delivered within 90 min? (At this point the package would have been 55 min late) He proceeded to say, uh, ma'am, not when there's floods". Now it was a bit rainy and the pick up was in North Miami Beach and I was in South Beach whicyh gets MAJOR flooding all the time so I am sympathetic about that but I had NO idea there was flooding- there was none in the pick up or drop off area. I think the appropriate thing would have been to have called and let me know they were going to be about an hour late. THE BEST PART: When I said listen. all over your website it says pickup and delivery within 90 minutes, the guy said FINE we'll do it free but you wont get it till 7 pm. Meanwhile in the background I could hear " no way, I'm not doing it for free man" WOW... I was like, are you serious? I just heard the guy tin the background, what kind of business is this? The guy on the phone says, don't worry man- your order has been canceled!!!" I called back and I was like, I don't care I will pay if I have to but this can't be late. The guy was like, "oh go to hell with your threats we don't care. who are you?" Now, I really didn't care about being charged or not- it was something like 26 bucks- my concern was timeliness and the punctuality ESPECIALLY when this company builds its entire concept on that very theme.. I of course panicked and scrambled to find another service after having only an hour and a half left to have this item in hand before a calamity happened.. I got REALLY steamed and some words were exchanged after their hang ups on me and their caustic, unaffected and sarcastic tone. I immediately called Barron Courier Service and they quelled all my fears. I paid a bit extra, like 10 more dollars for express service but it was GUARANTEED which is all i cared about. what if this was medicine or something someone needed immediately? I am afraid I actually gave these people my CC info. I have since then requested a new card- you never know what these people are capable of. They have no business being in that business. They are unprofessional and no one should trust them. They are complete thugs and don't care about their performance, reputation. service and least of all their clients that pay their bills. Just horrible people.
