Great. 2/18/2009

The best meal I've eaten in Las Vegas. Period. Better than than Keller, Thomas or Hubert. Better than Wolfgang. Better than Palmer. Better than Selvaggio. (Haven't yet been to Robuchon or Savoy) Had the Chef's seven course tasting menu with the wine pairings and each course was superb. Highly imaginative, beautifully presented, with excellent service. Wine pairings were perfect. View was spectacular. Somewhat noisy, as the Palms caters to a younger crowd that has money but is a little lacking in manners. Take out a second mortgage before you go. Absolutely the best place for a special occasion, but you'll need a far bigger bankroll than what I have to be a regular here. I have to say, though, that my memory of this meal will last long beyond the memory of the money. Truly outstanding in every way. Unlike many other high-end restaurants, you absolutely get what you pay for here. Pros: Food, service, ambience all superb, and I mean superb. Cons: Noise, price more

Great View, Food OVERATED, TERRIBLE Service 5/28/2008

The view at this place is definately nice, but not worth the price tag. Rosmary's (off strip) had better food and better service, by far (although the food at each location did not live up to NYC standards). Pros: View (only thing in its favor) Cons: FOOD/SERVICE more

Great View, Good Food, Not Worth the Hefty Price Tag 3/30/2008

The title says it all! The view is amazing (we went at sunset) and the food is excellent. However, I feel that for $95 per person (the prix fixe dinner), one could do a lot better. The atmosphere was very nice, even if the service was a little distant (although very attentive). Recommended for the view and the experience if you have money to burn. I'm glad we went once, but won't be back. Pros: View Cons: Cost to Quality Ratio more

Could not have been better... 1/18/2008

My husband and I went to Alize for the first time Wed night, and it was literally the best food I have ever eaten in my entire life. The ravioli appetizer was amazing, and the chef sent out a darling tastings of sea bass and salmon ceviche that was out of this world. My husband said the filet was better than any he had had before. The view, the ambiance, the amazing was worth every penny. I felt like we were treated like royalty; it was completely not snobby but still totally chic. I have never been so impressed with a restaurant. My only regret is not discovering this gem until the last evening of our trip; if we had known, we would have gone every night!!! Pros: The food was so good it almost made me cry Cons: none whatsoever more

Awwwwwe, snap!!! 10/18/2007

I'm not gonna write a big hoity toity review about this place because let's face're average just like me. But this place was the bomb!!! Absolutely superb tasting meals and excellent service. View is amazing. I've been to Vegas over a dozen times and ate at many of the ritzy places.....this one ranks as my all time fave. Then again, I love the Palms Hotel in general, so I'm kinda biased. Go ahead, make a won't regret it. Plan on spending about a hundy per person.'s an event to eat don't be in a rush. Sit down, relax and be prepared to be dazzled with some of the best tasting food you'll ever experience. Pros: Some of the best tasting food you'll ever experience. Cons: If you're cheap, you won't like this place. more

Exceptional French Cuisine, Wine selection incomparable 9/2/2006

Alize pronounced (A-Lee-Zey) is right above the world famous Ghostbar, so you may be intimidated by the extremely long line to get in. Simply say that you have reservations for Alize and your in. (Assuming of course that you did make reservations -- required) Incredible view of Las Vegas with an delicious selection of meats, seafood, and like fare. Very Elegant so appropriate attire is required. Pros: Great food, view, and Service Cons: A little on the pricey side more

yummy food, attentive but not annoying service, a very lovely way to start the evening 7/17/2006

Great view and food was nice (loved the choc souffle). Service was friendly and attentive. Only complaint was the booming bass from the club downstairs (which got rather annoying). We made our reservation 2 wks in advance. I thought $200 was pretty good for 2 people (we each had an appetizer, entree, and dessert plus one cocktail and one half bottle of wine). it was really lovely. Cons: the ugly 80's plates and cheesy acrylic votive holder and bud vase. 80's in a bad way more

Treated Like Regulars 7/1/2006

My wife and I absolutely loved our meal. This was an occasion meal that delivered. Tragically new to fine dining, our lack of wine order did NOT in any way effect our service, which was EXCELLENT. Pros: Service, Food more

Subpar 3/13/2006

Initial service was great- initial seating, but after that it went downhill. Portobello mushroom appetizer was good, but $22 scallop was one scallop and it was a little over-cooked. Duck confit along with the Duck was horrible- it was like leather, inedible. Overall I thought the bussers and runners did a much better job than the server- he was incapable while having 3 tables. I was not blown away with this meal by any means...the view was the best thing...the food and service were both subpar. Pros: great view Cons: poor service more

Mediocre & Overpriced 10/7/2005

This is one of the most underwhelming, mediocre and overpriced restaurants we've been to in a long, long time. The ""house specialty"", a $68 bland, seafood dish that came with vegie's on the side that literally looked & tasted like they came straight out of the freezer, into the microwave and onto my plate??? The wine list was ridiculous, a couple Beaujolais's priced in the $30 to $40 range and then everything else at $125 and up (our estimate was 4x markups). After a couple hours for dinner (no desert) we left $550 poorer and feeling like our pocket's had been picked. In a city with so many great restaurants, I wouldn't waste your time with this one. Pros: View, Ambiance Cons: Food, prices, service more

Really great, memorable place 9/19/2005

We've been to Vegas four times now; this was the best restaurant we've ever been to there. The view is breathtaking, the service is great. The food is wonderful, though it could be a tad cheaper. It's worth the splurge and you won't be disappointed. It's the only restaurant we've been to in LV that we think is worthy of being in New York too. Pros: food, view, service Cons: the price, a bit inconvenient more

Perfect 6/14/2005

Expensive, but amazing. I mark this as one of the best restaurants I've ever visited. Food, service, and ambience: outstanding. The view: can't be beat anywhere. If you're going to spend your winnings in Vegas (because again, the bill was high), this is the place to do it. Pros: View, Food, Service Cons: Little off the Strip more

A TREAT 2/22/2005

Absolutely Fantastic 6/24/2004

This is now my favorite restaurant in Las Vegas, along with The Foundation Room. The service was exceptional, the wine list extensive with a great sommelier to assist you and a great view. The menu offered something for everyone, but was not too extensive. Though it was crowded, it was not too loud, like the top of the Rio. We did not, at all, have a problem getting up to the Ghost Bar without waiting, though I thought it was ridiculous that we should pay $40 (2ppl) cover after we just spent $250 for dinner. It takes a couple of weeks to get a reservation at this restaurant on the weekend, so book early Pros: Value, Food, Atmosphere more

disappointment 6/16/2004

Don't waste yout time an money eating at this place. for what you pay you don't get much quality and presentation. The service is ok and the waiter was very pushy. The view is good only at night time and if you seat on the front of the house. Pros: view Cons: , food, prices more

What a view 10/14/2002

I have tried Andre downtown and love it Alize is just that in a more modern setting and with a view out of this world !!! All I can say is try all of Andre's 3 restaurants Pros: View, Food, Wine more

Andre has done it again! 10/12/2002

Andre Rochat of Andre's has always been my favorite Chef in Las Vegas. His style of cooking is real and honest. His newest restaurant sits high above the Las Vegas strip on the 56th floor of the Palms Casino Resort. This showcase dining room serves up some of the best food in the city. The wine and spirits lists are second to none, and the service was superlative. Andre's will always be our sentimental favorite, but Alize is our new pet! Pros: Awesome View, Great Service, Excellent View Cons: Crowded Casino, Drafty, Riding Elevator more
