Excellent 2/18/2012

I had read a few reviews and was hoping this adventure was not only for kids. I had gone to Tomb going back along and enjoyed that but for some reason this was more fun. There were no kids in our group but I feel we were all like kids... darting here and there looking for bugs... and working together to solve puzzles. It was so much fun. I really think it depends on the group you take with you so gather up a few friends. Our group was only 5 and was late on a Friday night but we had such a good experience and adventure that we are going to go back to do 20,000 Leagues. To tell you how much fun it was I didnt want it to end and could not believe we were there for an hour.... Well worth a visit.... Two thumbs up!!! more

Fun for the Family 8/19/2011

I went to Espionage and I have to say, it was very entertaining. I felt like I could actually be a part of all the video games I loved so much when I was younger. The sets were impressive and our guide was engaging. Lots of fun. Those who are saying its a waste of time, probably weren't taking it seriously. If you yourself get involved and pretend its real, its a whole lot more entertaining. Tomb wasn't that great compared to this one. Though its cheesy and targeted at younger kids, I felt like I could experience every little thing I ever wanted to do whenever I watched a spy movie. At the end, I was disappointed that it had gone by so fast and a bit surprised to be back in the real world. The first room was a rug shop where we detected bugs. The next room was an elevator where our mission was sorta explained more. Then we ended up going by lasers and through a small vent to a room with blueprints, leading us to a place where a bomb was set up. We went into the bomb shelter and did a puzzle there and came out finding that the bomb had exploded the previous room to rubble. It was a lot of fun and entertaining. Those saying it was a waste of time probably were acting too mature. XD more

Fun for 1 time 8/9/2011

Really fun!! But you can only do it once. I did it with my friends at first and then I went as a chaperone on a field trip and I had to hold back so I didn't solve the hole thing. \r Once is good\r After that it is not as good but still ok more

like you could do better. GO TOMB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ITS AMAZING 4/21/2010

okay, this was an amazing time. i went on the MOM ride at jordans furniture and it was ok. but all u did was sit in a chair. same goes for the movies or something stupid like that. TOMB was amazing interactive and quite the howdown. i had fun and so did the rest of the crew. dont listin 2 the other comments. i know for a fact they are competing museams and stuff just trying 2 lower buisness. but r u realy gonna sit on the computer and take my word for it? well your stupid, u should check it out for yourself, that the only way ur ever gonna find out. now all of you can shut up and keep your skeptical ratings 2 yourselves. i doubt you couldnt put together a better show more

Nothing like it! 2/25/2009

I brought my family to see Tomb thinking it would be a tourist trap. We had a wonderful time! The adventure is very hands-on, the Tomb set you go through is very cool, our guide was hilarious, and my kids can't stop talking about it. Tickets are not cheap, but I think it's worth every penny. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY 2/16/2009

Listen and trust me. Do NOT waste your money or time going there if you're not under the age of 8. When you walk in not only does it look like some high school stage crew set up the place, they have a tent where you see AND hear the whole part of the ""show"" before its even your turn to go. 3 tacky rooms with tacky ""decorations"" inside. Pros: We were 5 min late for our show and they let up hop in with the next show. Cons: EVERYTHING ELSE! more

Good family fun!! 2/7/2009

My Husband and I wanted to do something different with our 5 year old and 7 year old sons. We thought that the puzzles were mildly challenging and encouraged us to all work together to solve. It made you use common sense and logic. I thought that for such a small footprint, Tomb had some pretty fun special effects. I will not mention any here, so as not to spoil it for the next family. At the end, we all felt that we would definitely do either this or a similar type of quest again. We look forward to bringing their Grandpa and cousins so we can all have some fun that doesn't involve video games for once! more

Overpriced, mildly fun 2/5/2009

I would not recommend this attraction unless you have already paid for a Go Boston card. It is really overpriced. They take you in groups of 15-20 through some "tombs", and the people in your group must solve the puzzles to move on to the next section. For an adult, it's not really that engaging, although at times it was fun. more

What to avoid in Boston 1/1/2008

It was the biggest waste of time and money that I had every put my family through. It was pathetic, cheesy, rigged, just 3 rooms leading to gift shop. more

Overpriced 12/27/2007

We spent a small fortune on two adult and two children admissions. We were in a group of about 15 people including one very very competitive family that felt the need to solve every puzzle before anyone else had a chance to. Our guide did nothing to discourage this even though it was obvious that not everyone was happy. I agree with the other poster that said he felt totally ripped off and if you go you will too. more

so much fun! 7/17/2007

I went in with a bunch of friends on a whim since we were in the area and had never been. So much fun! Our guide was really fun and into it, and really hammed it up for our group. The puzzles were fun and all the different rooms were really cool. This was a great alternative to the same old bar scene in the fenway area. If you're looking for something different to do i highly reccomend. Pros: cool staff, fun puzzles. Cons: we took the T, but I can imagine parking would be an issue. more

Fun for the Indiana Jones crowd 7/12/2007

Not sure about these other reviewers but my group had a blast. My group was a mix of 20 somethings, a family from Tennessee, and a father and son from NJ. We all had a blast solving the neat puzzles, laughing at the corny jokes, and indulging our inner archaeologist. Very unique and a great way to do something different on the weekend. Pros: Friendly Staff, Cool Special Effects, more

AWFUL! Dont waste your time or money! You'll regret it! 7/7/2007

Hello all, I have a family of 5 and we paid $92.00 to go and see what we thought would be fun! What a joke! Low budget junk show! I would not recomend! I never mind paying the price when something is worth it, But in the case of 5 witts tomb: I have never felt so RIPPED OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I only hope the owners of this place reads this! you scam artist!!!!!!!!!!! more

for the kiddies 12/28/2006

Boston has so much more to offer than this cheesy overpriced attraction. Don't let the ad hype fool you, if you have ever been anywhere or done anything this place will bore you. It is a terrific waste of money and time for anyone over 7 years of age. You will have a better time just strolling around anywhere- even in a blizzard or rain storm. more

I agree with Mauricio 10/29/2006

This is great for folks with kiddies, not sure singles would get as much out of it for the price. The sony store in NYC is free and you can play with everything, for that matter so is stuff at the Sharper Image or Hammacher Schlemmer. If you have kids, it would be a great way for them to release that excess energy if you have been dragging them around all day to places where expected them to be quiet and at their best behavior. more

Just for Children 10/16/2006

This is a good idea. But the reviews (internet and newspaper) do not really reflect what the show is about. Do not expect any super-state of the art things; just a few puzzles, and boomm, you are in an out quickly, and 20 dollars short. Pros: Maybe good for children Cons: Expensive, and boring more

Best thing to do on the weekend! 6/12/2006

This place was unlike anything I have ever been to! It was amazing! Interactive and a great experience! more

Best for the kids, not for others 4/7/2006

I have to say, after reading reviews on other sites and some of the reviews here, I was dissapointed. You start out in a field tent with your guide and proceed to listen to a cheesy loud speaker phone conversation between your guide and a professor from England (who is prerecorded) The first room was actually the only bad part of the inside of the Tomb. It is slow, easy and very dragged out. The second and third rooms have some puzzles that are very interesting and involve some teamwork that make it a good experience. One puzzle, which involves moving large, double-sided pannels into their correct locations on a circular design on the floor to get images to their correct locations makes you feel as if youare in an episode of survivor. It is fun, but only for parents and their children. more

Do you have the eyes of a falcon? 2/23/2006

Hello friends! The tomb is an awesome experience like no other in boston. We stopped by on after seeing an ad and were surpirsed by the attraction. It was great for kids because the challenges were within their reach. Plus it was a great vaule for under twenty dollars per person we had over forty five minutes of great fun. Pros: affordable, interactive Cons: location more

Really Fun and Unique Experience 7/20/2005

I used to work across from this place, but I did not notice it until about 2 months ago. You wouldn't think it from the outside or even from where it's located, but this is one of the funnest and most unique experiences I have had in Boston. It's an interactive experience that seemingly transports you back to ancient Egypt. A Pharoah gives you challenges and you have to navigate your way from room to room trying to get to the burial chamber. There are fun suprises and it's very entertaining. They also offer group rate if you have a lot of people. It's also a fun place to take a date. more
