Even if you have to walk a bit further, its worth avoiding this dealer. Attempting to confirm my reservation over the telephone was impossible, I called 6 times over the course of a week and was unable to reach them in the morning or afternoon. Finally walked down to confirm in person because I needed to change the pick-up time.
I was surprised by the tiny trailer that constitutes this business. There was room for his desk and me, and a chair for my wife to sit in. ""David"" didn't want to give me the time of day. From the get-go, it felt like he felt he could be doing something more important than dealing with me, answering a call from some guy named Bob twice during our conversation.
He was able to change the date for me, and confirm my reservation, but when I asked him if he could apply my online discount (from the Budget website) he told me that I needed to call customer service. When I asked if we could instead make a new reservation right then and there with my discount (since I had to walk a mile) he quoted me the non-discounted price, saying 'The price goes up the closer you reserve a truck to moving time', and, ""This is America, you can try to shop for the best price."" Not liking this answer, I told him I was getting angry, because his not answering the phone the past week was costing me nearly 200 dollars. ""Angry, you wanna SEE angry?"" he yelled, standing up. ""You go call customer service."" Surprised, we left.
I went home, reserved a new truck and called the executive line. They gave me 30% off (though it took a lot of time). For some reason they didn't bother to change the pick-up location though, so perhaps I'll have something to add here after I pick up my truck from him next week.
I hope it's positive
