I made reservations to dine at this facility well in advance and purchased a discounted gift certificate from a well known dining website. The gift certificate had several stipulations, but any specific dates with regards to when this certificate could not be utilized was not among them. Upon being seated, I informed the server that we had this certificate and politely asked whether or not it could be used on the promotional Valentine's menu or if we had to order from the regular menu. To which, the server replied that he was not allowed to accept these certificates on high volume nights (although at our 5 p.m. seating, the restaurant was only 10% full), but, even though we in no way requested, he said he would speak to his manager on our behalf. While waiting for the manager I had resigned myself to the fact that I was not going to be able to use the certificate and was fully prepared to pay the full price for my meal, but I wanted to highlight to the manager that there were no stipulations precluding use on specific dates or events and that I was drawn there under false pretense. The manager approached and did not let me or my wife speak. While he acknowledged that we did have a valid certificate, he commenced to berate us and treat us as if we were subhuman. After his tirade, he turned away and stormed off without so much as an apology or even goodbye. I would have loved to have tried the food at this establishment, but I expect a certain level of respect while dining at a place that wants in excess of $100 for a party of two. I will not be returning to this establishment based on principle, and I will be advising my friends and business collegues to avoid it as well.
Pros: Server Brandon
Cons: the manager needs a lesson in customer service
