This place is great!! 3/23/2007

Really good food, great service, great delivery. Some of my favorite dishes include, the ceaser salad, the hanger steak, the salmon, the lunch special menu as a whole (what a good deal), as well as many of their specials. Check it out! Pros: Yum more

cozy neighborhood place 3/4/2007

107 West is a pretty cozy neighborhood place in Washington Heights. It's an alternative to spanish and crappy chinese food in the area (with the exception to Jimi Oros). The food is pretty good and decently priced. The mash potatoes is pretty damn good as well as the rigatoni with chicken. The staff is always very friendly and professional. Service is quick as well as their delivery. Pros: location, food, service Cons: no cons more

Great Staff, Cool Drinks, Tasty food 2/24/2007

After visiting 107 west for the first time the other day, I came away pleased that I made the trek uptown to this wonderful Gem of Washington Heights. The staff was very friendly, but not overly pushy, and the atmosphere was comftorable with a great mix of music that made the short wait for food even shorter. With various appetizers (I had the Nachos and my friend had the Crab Cakes) and different Tortilla Rolls (Steak, Shrimp, and Chicken) you have plenty to choose from to warm up for a bevy of Entree's and a rotating assortment of Daily Specials, including the famous Flounder stuffed with crabmeat and Avacado or the Jambalya served in an iron kettle and piping hot. The mix of authentic Tex-Mex and Creole Cuisine makes for an interisting combination that is sure to please those unable to decide on one specific thing. After dinner don't miss the wonderful array of dinner drinks, specifically the after dinner mint, which goes great with a walnut brownie, or an apple crisp served a'la mode. But perhaps the most endearing part of the restaurant are it's large portions and low prices with the Avg. meal around Fourteen dollars. Pros: Ambience, Service, Food, PRICE Cons: Travel more

Great menu 2/23/2007

There's a really great variety on this menu, seafood, chicken, burritos, awesome salads, steaks, etc etc etc. Definitely something for everyone, at very reasonable prices. A really nice, relaxed atmosphere, one of the best places to eat out (or order in) in the neighborhood. Pros: ambience, location, food, nightly specials, service Cons: not much more

A reliable neighborhood restaurant 2/23/2007

I love the food and the ambiance here. It's a really nice little place with consistently good food and prompt , friendly service. I've never had a dish I didn't like, but the tex-mex is really the best on the menu. Everyone needs to try the shrimp quesadilla. The rice and beans side isn't always my favorite, but the quesadilla more than makes up for it. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes good food and a cozy spot to eat, and doesn?t want to pay too much for it. Pros: Tex-mex food, menu, $6 drinks at happy hour! Cons: Rice and beans side more

Love it 2/23/2007

Great food at prices that can't be beat, especially in this neighborhood. The fried chicken and the hanger steak are to die for, and the salads are always good for a light meal. I love the variety of the menu, and portions are *HUGE* Nice atmosphere, and always a good experience. Pros: Quality of food, portion sizes, price more

Terrified! 12/3/2006

This is the most consistently good restaurant in the area? Just moved here, and I hope not! Service was weak, food was mediocre. Bad music. The food came out lukewarm, and after sending back to be reheated, came back just the same. The meals tasted like they were assembled from canned ingredients, yet were priced much higher. Not terrible, but certainly not great. Tip: don't sit near the door in cold weather, or you'll be dining in your down coat! Pros: location Cons: price, quality more

I have to agree, the most consistent in the neighborhood 9/11/2006

While I wouldn't say it's amazing, it is by far the most consistently good restaurant in the neighborhood. The food is generally good, delivery prompt and staff at the restaurant very nice and professional. Pros: Fried Chicken, quesadillas, salads Cons: Rice and beans more

Best American mix for everyone 7/11/2006

I Love this restaurant. I'ts a nice neighborhood place where you can go and get good food at good prices. I order delivery all the time and they're great. Good music and good drinks. I take my friends there all the time because its always consistant and I don't have to worry about anyone not finding something they can all enjoy. Pros: Good service, Good food, Great delivery Cons: no cons more

Customer Relations 101 Required 6/15/2006

This is an establishment that HATES children. If you have children, no matter how well-behaved they are, this is not the place to take them. The staff constantly yells at children and gives them dirty looks. We had dinner there the other night at 5:45PM - clearly it is NOT prime time for the restaurant. The snooty manager asked us to leave and gave us our check in the middle of our meal. That was just rude! I'm not sure what level of training the staff was given, but it wasn't adequate. And I am not just talking about this one incident. We've eaten there a few times, and we always got a cold reception. I'm not sure that kind of attitude flies in this Washington Heights neighborhood, where there are tons of children. Cons: ALL more

Consistently delicious! 4/9/2006

We've dined here a few times in the last few months. Everything has been delicious! The brunch is awesome and so are all the regular items on the menu - salads, tortillas, burritos - at this establishment with southwestern cuisine leanings. Excellent service to be had whether you are eating in or having it delivered. Ambience is nice enough to take your visiting friends/family members. Not cheap, more midpriced and reasonably so. Definitely a dining asset for Washington Heights residents and visitors. Can't say enough good things about it! Pros: Brunch, FOOD, Locale Cons: Addictive! more

BEST service 11/14/2003

I eat out or order in every night. There aren't many options in the neighborhood- the staff at 107 West are ALWAYS pleasant and accomodating. Even the delivery guys are super friendly. In comparison to some of the other neighborhood spots- 107 has the best service, hands down. Pros: service, bread pudding, brunch Cons: bread more
