I would not write a scathing review unless I thought it was warranted. I went w/ my now-husband (then fiance) to DVVS for wedding bands a couple of months before our wedding. I found a ring & wanted to order it. When I tried to give my credit card to the woman helping us - Kate - she insisted I go home & think about it. (I had already been to 6 - yes 6 - stores, so I didn't need to think about it). I called several days later & again tried to order my ring - credit card in hand. (My husband was on the fence about his). Kate told me to wait until he was ready, saying we had "plenty of time," "not to worry," etc. (His ring was twice the price as mine). She also let me know they had a similar model & could do the same ring for me in-house for several hundred less.
4 weeks before the wedding, I called again to order my ring. (My husband got his elsewhere). I asked Kate to confirm this cheaper alternative would look exactly like the one I liked (otherwise, I'd spend the extra $$ and get the other ring). Kate said, "I can't deal with you." She told me she didn't want my order. I reminded her that this was a ring I'd wear everyday and what it looks like was a fair question, and that I'd tried to give my credit card 3X!? I asked for the owner, and she said he'd agree with her, and then SHE HUNG UP ON ME!
Never have I been treated that way. That very day - 1 month before my wedding - I called another shop & gave my credit card over the phone for the exact ring Kate wouldn't sell me. They got it to me 1 week before the wedding, and I love it. I would NEVER step foot inside DVVS again.
