Kiddieland is a fun place for the whole family to go. In these parts, a summer just isn't complete without at least one trip to Kiddieland. If you are a roller coaster enthusiast, don't expect to be floored by the rides here. They are pretty tame, but still fun. They also have the standard lineup of carnival-style games and concessions. The bottom line is that this is a nice place to go and spend some time with your family.

I boarded my dog here for about 6 days, and I wasn't at all happy with the service. It was my first time using any kind of kennel, so I didn't know what to expect. Hollywood doesn't allow customers to view the actual area where the pet will be kept; they say it is too stressful for the animals that are already in there. But I have since learned that any kennel that isn't open about the boarding area is probably not trustworthy. My dog was returned to me with a cut on his nose. The staff couldn't explain how or when he got the injury. I haven't gone back since then.

I love to read movie reviews before I actually see the movie so that I know what to look for when I'm in the theater. It has taken a long time, but I finally settled on Roger Ebert as my favorite movie reviewer. I agree with his opinions on movies more often than not, and appreciate his insight about particular scenes and nuances in films. I've found that reading Ebert's reviews greatly enhances my viewing pleasure, so I highly recommend him and his website.

Oak Park has a very good youth baseball program. That's why their high school teams consistently do very well in the state tournaments (OPRF High School Girls' Softball team are '05 State Champs). You can find a baseball or softball team to fit your child's age group and skill level. They have standard Little League rules in place, so your child is guaranteed a certain amount of playing time in each game. I played in the softball leagues for more than 10 years. I had a lot of fun and learned important lessons about teamwork and competition.

Although the iPod Shuffle doesn't get as much press and praise as its more expensive siblings, I recommend first-time users of MP3 players to consider purchasing this product before buying a higher-priced item. First of all, you'll get an excellent player backed by Apple technology and know-how. As a result, the sound quality is impeccable, and the operation is flawless. Second, you'll get a chance to see how much of an MP3 player you need. Do you really have enough of a music collection to warrant a 60GB iPod? I certainly don't. The Shuffle is plenty for me.
I like the Shuffle because it is lightweight and doesn't come with any cables. It has a USB port built into it, so it plugs directly into your computer. Simple to use, simple to operate. Check it out!

I had a very bad experience with this outfit many years ago. I needed a new transmission in my car, so I coughed up more than $1000 for it. In less than a month, I started having the exact same problems with my car, so I brought it back to J&L. They refused to honor their warranty, saying that although the car did indeed have a transmission problem, it was a "different" one, so wasn't covered in their warranty. That was an interesting approach, considering they did a complete rebuild the first time around. Anyway, I took my car somewhere else and got the problem fixed the right way. Stay away from these guys!
