It is pretty spendy - but it is a 3 hour tour - and you get to ride a segway.
It is a great group event for co-workers or groups of friends.

Minneopa State Park and Waterfall is a wonderful sight. It is just outside of Mankato, MN. It is one of those waterfalls that you can actually walk around and get into the water.
This is a pretty park in the summer and the winter! The waterfall is big enough to be beautiful and small enough so that it freezes in the winter. The photos you can take here are great.
It is a great place just to relax. You can also have a picnic or a group outing. There are also plenty of hiking trails.

For several years we have visited the MN Zoo during the holidays for Walk the Wild Lights. We have also visited the zoo during the regular season too. They have a good variety of animals and activities for kids.
Now that we live closer we will probably get a membership - especially as our kids get older and want to visit more often. Even without a membership it is fairly reasonable.

They also have some other displays in addition to the sharks.
We haven't taken any kids there - but the kids we see there seem to love it!
Try searching or asking around for a coupon to save on admission!

Great place for a date and a picnic - or to take the kids - or to stay warm in the winter (in the conservatory).
There is also a small amusement park on the park grounds - but I have never been there.
This zoo has been around forever (since around the turn of the century) - but they continue to update it.

Not only is the park beautiful (and free to visit) - but there is also an amazing conservatory on the grounds. It is called The Cowles Conservatory and it is wonderful.
My husband and I love to stroll through the park to view the art, people watch, and talk.
You can also walk over the bridge and visit a restaurant in the Loring Park area.
Great place for kids and adults! Check out the Walker Museum while you are there too!

This attraction used to be great and it probably still is - but now it requires that you buy a ticket to the Valleyfair amusement park AND pay extra for the activities.
I went here a few times because the mini golf course is great and I love the bumper boats and go-karts. The last time I was there you could go into Challenge Park without paying for an admission into Valleyfair. You would just have to pay for parking.
Now to me it is definitely not worth paying admission into Valleyfair and paying extra for these attractions! It is strange that they would change this - I assume they have lost a lot of business based on this change.

Great mini golf course!
It seems like mini golf courses are sometimes hard to find. This one is right on Old Shakopee Road in Bloomington. The prices are reasonable and the game is fun! The course is challenging - but...
It seems like mini golf courses are sometimes hard to find. This one is right on Old Shakopee Road in Bloomington. The prices are reasonable and the game is fun! The course is challenging - but not too challenging. It is very fun for kids and adults. This course does get pretty busy - so if you don't want to be held up (or be the one holding up other parties) then go when it isn't too busy.

When our first cat was a kitten, something fell on her while she was playing and we really thought that she broke one of her legs.
We called the Emergency Vet and they encouraged us to come in since if it really was broken and she continued to play all night until our regular vet opened - it may be really injured!
Well - they did x-rays and it ended up that our kitten wasn't injured. It was spendy - but if there was really something wrong I am glad that this option is available. I am however glad that I haven't needed to visit them again!
