New releases..what new releases?
Review of: Blockbuster Video
I wholeheartedly agree. What's the point of constantly advertising new releases and no late fees when they don't have anything in stock?
Last time I was here, I was looking for Pride and Prejiduice. It took three different trips before I was able to actually check that movie out! Their selection is terrible and I would really recommend another rental place if you want a place where you can get your new releases without a problem!!- Posted on 6/4/2006

Smooth Ride
Review of: Greyhound Bus
I've used Greyhound several times to visit UofI and I have to say it has been a pretty comfortable trip. The seats are nice and they are not really small and cramped.
For me, there was enough leg room and I had plenty of space for my baggage (which got there safe and sound as well). I was happy with the trip and actually liked it better than taking the train, even though, suprisingly enough, the train was actually coming out to be cheaper!- Posted on 6/4/2006

Italian Ice
Review of: Soupbox
Soup is what this place seems to stress as its best item on the menu. But I beg to differ.
During the summer, this place becomes the Ice Box, when they sell fresh italian ice. This place is just amazing during that time. They still have the soup, but pass that and go for one of their fresh flavored italian ice cups. They are flavorful and totally cool ( in all senses ). This is one of my favorite stops in the summer and it is a very cool and refreshing place to be.- Posted on 6/4/2006

A student's dream come true..
Review of: Bacci Pizzeria
I've been here once and unfortanately I have yet to have the chance to go back.
This place is a student's (also unfortanately, like me!!) dream come true. This palce serves up a good portion of food for a little bit of money. You will be amazed at the fresh food you can get here. Last time I went I had the pizza and it was great. The slice was big and filling and the pizza was close to perfect, in my opinion. I can't wait to get a chance to go back again!!- Posted on 6/4/2006

Funky
Review of: That's Our Bag Inc
I don't think I would actually ever by a bag from this store. Most of their handbags are a bit too funky for my tastes and I don't think I could ever find an outfit to match them with.
But they do make a great gift for that funky friend that all of us has in our lives! And if not, then this place is also good to check out for luggage. They have a good selection of suitcases and handbags that are perfect for traveling. The prices for these are usually lower than the things you find at higher end stores too.- Posted on 6/4/2006

Music Galore
Review of: Gramaphone Records Ltd
This is a great place to hit up if you are looking into buying any kind of music. Unlike many of the stores around the area that specialize in a certian type or genre of music, this place has it all, from the oldies to all the new stuff.
It is worth taking a look around this store because you will definitely find something that will interest you or already does interest you!- Posted on 6/4/2006

Online Classes
Review of: University of Phoenix Chicago
This university is really geared towards awarding students online degrees. They basically appoint a profesor to "teach" a class online through online discussion forums and chats, plus emailed lectures and assignments.
How effective it is, i'm not sure. But I do know that this is one of the few schools that is recognized for its online degrees. If you are a person with a busy schedule, this might be a good option for you because you can learn without leaving you computer desk!- Posted on 6/4/2006

Eat and Drink all you want
Review of: Old Country Buffet
I have never been here for lunch or dinner, but have visited here for breakfast a few times before.
For around seven dollars, you get to eat whatever and how much ever you want from an endless buffet. They were missing nothing on their buffet. Pancakes, hash browns, eggs, muffins, sausages, bacon, you name it and they had it. Sure, their cheeses may have been a bit processed and their meat might not be the finest grade, but for the price you pay you get to eat and drink all you can want. Who else gives you that around her?- Posted on 6/4/2006

Fresh Bagels
Review of: Samuel's Delicatessen On Broadway
I'm usually not a big fan of bagels, but when I get that occassional craving, this is where I go for sure.
This little deli is located right on Broadway and is an easy walk from my place. They give you a pretty big bagel and they slather it with creme cheese. Last time I had the garden veggie creme cheese on a regular plain bagel and it was amazing.
The service here is fast and friendly and the food is good too, especially for the bagel lover.- Posted on 6/4/2006

Use this for car rentals
Review of: Thrifty Car Rental
If you need a car to rent, this would be the best way to go. I always recommend this company to friends and family that are coming out of town.
The rates at this rental company are insanely cheap. Just last week, my cousin came down and she was able to rent a car for only 14 dollars a day. I thought that was quite a bargain, especially it being a weekend.
The cars are nothing special. I mean you won't be getting a benz or anything. But what you will get is a nice and clean car that will run well and not give you any problems. Wonderful!- Posted on 6/4/2006
