• Nice place to get your Asian groceries

  Review of: New Oriental Market

  I like oriental market because it's somewhat cleaner than the other Asian grocery stores. You can find most of your Asian spices and others at this place. It also seems to be the only place that sells Asian ice cream/popsicles (and also for cheap) so I enjoy coming here in the summer. What I don't like about this place is that it is very small and you cannot find everything you need, however, the owners are very very nice and more friendlier than the other Asian marts.

  Review of: Waterloo Records & Video

  I love waterloo records and video. They have a unique style and environment that you cannot find anywhere else. Here you can find a large variety of music including locals. The staff are very knowledgable and helpful in giving recommendations. If you get bored, they've also got lots of interesting knick knacks lying around the store.

  Review of: Book People Book Store

  Book People is so unlike any other book stores. It's very unique and has a style of its own. I love hanging out here and browsing. They've also got lots of interesting unusual knick knacks around the store that you can look at. The customer service is very friendly and very knowledgable. I always enjoy looking at staff recommendations because they are always great books. You must visit this place!

  Review of: Thai Passion

  Thai passion has great food. I love everything on their menu. It can be hard to find parking since it is in downtown but do not let that discourage you from going. This is a nice place for a casual dinner or even for a romantic dinner date. Don't forget to ask for some complementary Thai candy before you leave.

  Review of: Hula Hut

  I really love eating here. The setting is very lovely and oh so romantic. The food is also great. I haven't found anything I disliked. I would highly recommend their margaritas too. I would also recommend the enchiladas. This place is great for friends and families and there is a patio where you can eat at to enjoy the lovely view of lake austin.

  Review of: My Thanh Oriental Market

  I prefer to go to My Thanh for my asian groceries over Hong Kong supermarket. The prices here are cheaper and I think they've got more selections. Always remember to bring cash if you plan to spend less than five bucks. Otherwise, they only take mastercards or visas. My only complaint about this place is that the cashiers are always rude and sometimes they fresh produce aren't always fresh.

  Review of: Brick Oven On 35th Street

  I love Brick Oven. Everything on their menu is great. I would highly recommend their artichoke dip with bread as an appetizer. I also love their pizza. My only complaint about this place is that it is a bit pricy and it takes a long time to get your food. So this is not a place to go if you are starving.

  Review of: Taco Xpress

  I love Taco Xpress's taco's. I have tried almost everything on their menu and have yet to find something I dislike. Their tacos are a bit small so I would recommend ordering at least two per person. The tacos are tasty and affordable. Finding parking is a major problem and there always seems to be a crowd, but I think the wait is well worth it.

  Review of: Dolce Vita Gelato & Espress

  You should definitely come here for gelato! Though they are a bit pricey, I think it is worth it because you can't get any better gelatos any where else. They also serve great coffee. Sometimes it is difficult to find parking but that never stops me from coming here. If you 've never been here, then you should stop by sometime for a refreshing snack.

  I love Mother's Cafe! The food they serve is so healthy. I am always fascinated by how they can make ordinary vegetables and soy taste so amazingly great. I love everything on their menu. They also serve great fresh orange juice. I would recommend eating in their garden. This is a great place for lunch.
