Dinner celebration at Marche
Review of: Marche
We had dinner here for a bday celebration, my mother in laws. The women had the steak frites and the men had the pork. Don't ask how this happened, it just did. Anyway, the place is a wonderland to the senses. The decor is out of a french circus and the kitchen is wide open to see the food being prepared. The food was good, the service as well. I would go again, maybe even to rent out one of the private booths.

Colletty Art Gallery
Review of: Colletti Gallery
My wife and I wanted to spend a little of our wedding $ on a piece of art that we could hang with honor in our new vintage apt building. We fell in love with a print from 1898 and had to have it. We regret not looking around at other galleries as we paid a little more than we should have. Oak street shopping is an expensive street and the taxes in Chicago are high. I would recommend going there to browse or ask questions, but I would buy else where unless you can negotiate them down in price. I rate them good on inventory, but poor on price. Overall OK.

Breakfast of Champions
Review of: Original Pancake House The
If you are in the chicago area you need to check out the Original Pancake House in the Gold Coast. It is in the same area as all the bars, Gibsons and Tavern on Rush. Their pancakes are awesome, especially their signature Apple Pancake, it will feed 2. There is usually a line to get in so be ready for a wait on the weekends and they only take cash! Enjoy!

Dinner at Gibson's
Review of: Gibsons Steakhouse & Bar
At first we had an issue with getting a table, the place is very popular, but my brother in law pulled some strings and got us a table for 7. My wife and I had the bone in ribeye, their specialty. I ordered mine medium and it was served rare. They corrected the mistake. The steaks were very good and large as are the sides. Only order one side per two people. Book a reservation early to get a good dinner time. Beware there will be tourist, but the steak is worth the wait.
