Don't go in there if you're on a diet!
Review of: Wythe Candy & Gourmet Shop
Situated in historic Colonial Williamsburg, Wythe Candy Store is a sweet-tooth's paradise. You can get your basic candies, such as gummy worms and sour patch kids. But don't waste your time on them. Enjoy the candied apples, the enormous chocolate peanut butter cups (cupcakes is more like it), and the list goes on. They are always busy, but the staff is friendly and extremely helpful. The best part is, once you've selected your candy, take a leisurely stroll down Duke of Gloucester Street and think of how much the colonists would have enjoyed that delicious confectioner's delight!

Great regional hospital for your basic needs
Review of: Loudoun Hospital
When you have an emergency, it doesn't feel..."basic." But what I mean is, you always feel as if you're receiving excellent care. It's not a huge hospital, but the staff is competent, experienced, and friendly, and they do their job well. The ambulances respond quickly, and the support system of specialists surrounding the hospital make it the perfect place to go for all your medical needs.

If I could give it more stars I would!
Review of: College of William & Mary
An amazing college experience. An undergraduate population of around 6,000 students. A teaching school. A small community. An excellent education. An immersion in history. Beautiful seasons. Gorgeous campus. Diverse student population. Interesting courses. My time at William and Mary was the best of my life. Some talk about how difficult the courseload was. I would say, you make of college what you want. You don't have to put immense pressure on yourself, and you can still achieve good grades while learning a lot. I'm not going to pretend that I'm an unbiased reviewer on this one, but I AM experienced.

A Throw-Back Store that's part of the community
Review of: Owens Sporting Goods
Owens Sporting Goods has been around forever. Well, maybe not forever, but it sure seems that way. There are times that they don't have exactly what you're looking for. But, they will try and find it for you, because they rely on return customers. It's a place where you feel comfortable, and they have return customers through all the youth sports seasons, extending into hunting, and on into recreational sports enjoyment. You'll learn their names, and you'll keep coming back.

Great source of music, especially for college students
Review of: Band Box Inc
The Band Box, in Williamsburg, Virginia, is closely situated to the College of William and Mary. For those college students who have just heard a friend's music with which they were previously unacquainted, a trip to the Band Box would make sure that you could listen for yourself. Despite its relative small size, the Band Box had a decent selection, and a staff who was used to dealing with college students who knew all there was to know about the world.

Old World feel in sophisticated setting
Review of: Adeler Jewelers
Adeler Jewelers is situated on a village green in up-scale Great Falls Virginia. For those of you who might be intimidated in such a setting...don't be. They are very friendly and very knowledgeable. My wife and I purchased loose gems in their store...while such a sale could not even compare with some of the sales they make to the millionaires who live in Great Falls, they took a substantial amount of time showing us the loose gems, determining which were the best, and then determining which were of similar size. The time they devoted to us put us at ease, and ensured that we would be return customers.

Jewelers you can TRUST
Review of: Princess Jewelers & Manufacturers
I can do no better than simply relate a story. I bought my wife's engagment ring from the friend of a co-worker (I know, bad idea). It looked nice, but I decided to get it appraised from another person. That person told me it was a piece of junk. Needless to say, I was very depressed. I decided to take it to my in-laws' jewelers at Princess Jewelers. They were friendly and understanding, and did not try to sell me one of their own rings. They gave me a balanced appraisal that wound up being between the best I received and the worst. In addition, they did this by comparing it with actual rings in the store, demonstrating the differences in the 4 Cs, so that I could see for myself where they were coming from. They have a wide variety of jewelry, but most importantly, they are jewelers you can trust.

Convenient While-U-Wait Service
Review of: Dulles Express Jewelry & Watch Svc Ctr
While Dulles Express may escape your notice, situated as a kiosk in the Dulles Town Center mall, its service will not. Whether you need a battery changed in your watch, or something more complex, Dulles Express is equipped to handle your needs. I have had numerous watch batteries changed there, quickly and cheaply, and due to its location in the mall, there is plenty to do while you wait. In addition, if you need more complex work done, such as parts replacements, they are able to send it out for work. A very reasonable place to see your watch needs met.

AMAZING course
Review of: Rasperry Falls Golf and Hunt Club
Rasberry Falls ate me up. But I had fun watching it happen. A beautiful Gary Player designed course, including an elevated tee box that allows you to see the beautiful countryside. This course truly does feel as if you've traveled to the British Isles with rolling terrain and pot bunkers. A little on the pricey side, but a special treat that's well worth the money. Highly recommended!

Furniture for any style, any room, any price
Review of: Belfort Furniture Inc
Belfort Furniture has a clearance center, a store with more formal furniture, and one for those less-formal occasions. Whether you need big comfortable chairs for your family room or a formal dining room set, Belfort Furniture has an excellent variety to choose from. There are very few rooms in our house that were not stocked by Belfort Furniture. We've had our furniture delivered, as well as picked it up, and never encountered any problems. A large helpful staff is ready to answer any questions, and the best proof of their success is the large number of Belfort trucks you see in almost every neighborhood in the Dulles Corridor.
