Review of: Tex & Shirley's Family Restaurant

A family friendly restaurant, known for great breakfasts and more ways to do pancakes than you can shake a stick at. They also have good hamburgers, and chicken sandwiches for a lunch or dinner as well.

Pecan pancakes and chocolate chip pancakes are to die for, and bacon that really tastes like bacon. Wait staff are friendly and helpful, food comes quickly and a wide variety of everything makes this a Greensboro institution. Even better news--another Tex and Shirley's is under construction in North High Point--near Skeet Club. Can't wait for it to open!

    Review of: Revival Grill

Revival Grill in Greensboro combines the right mix of casual and special for a great dinner. A wonderful wine list (also includes "flights", a sampling of 3 similar wines from an area, sort of a mini-tasting opportunity). The tempura coated lobster tail is an appetizer to die for. Check out their evening specials--always something creative with fish. Price range can be in the high level sandwich (around $10) to entrees in the $15-25 range, but worth every penny. Service has always been superb, attentive but not cloying.

Save room for dessert, especially the gingerbread.
