I have been to Vegas quite a few times, and this was definitely one of the better hotels. They have a great pool area that is setup like a beach, a nice Casino with many nice restaurants, and a pretty good overall vibe.
The rooms were nice, the bathroom was one of the biggest I have seen in Vegas, and it had a solid view to the mountains.
When approaching the strip, you realize that while the other hotels are no slouches, this is one of the largest ones. From what I understand a few of the top floors make up the Four Seasons, and have their own private elevators, etc.
I would stay at the Mandalay again, although, I wish it was a bit cheaper.

Best in the world as far as I know

The whales, sharks and dolphin shows are highlights, but they have so many interesting things there, its easy to get lost.
Personally, I thought coming to Seattle and being on the Ocean (basically), it would blow away the Shedd, and its not even a shadow as good. This past spring, I was in Sydney and checked out their aquarium, and while better than Seattle, still not as overwhelming as the Shedd. Although, the Sydney Aquarium had an amazing shark exhibit where you would walk "amongst" them in these underwater tubes.
Anyway, if you are a tourist in Chicago, or going, definitely don't miss the Shedd.

I was watching the Hawks game today in HD and realized how much more time I have spent gazing at the beauty of my TV since I made this upgrade about 8 months ago. To many of you, this may seem frivelous or a waste of time, but to me, its been a constant source of TV goodness :) If you are gonna watch TV, I highly suggest buying an HD widescreen.

As far as dealerships go, these guys aren't so bad

They definitely claim to be a step above of other dealerships with their sales policies, and while I feel that is definitely debatable, I have bought 2 cars here. They do give pretty straightforward pricing, and if you buy from them, the service problems mentioned in the other review don't seem to occur (I have never had a problem there). Although., I typically have only gone their for scheduled oil changes....
Which reminds me, one of the reasons I like them is that they give you your first year of oil changes for free and a bunch of other pretty good coupons. Yea, I know they made a ton of money of me, but they at least make some attempt to make you feel a little better...
Overall, I wouldn't say I have a super wide range of experience with dealerships, but I have hit my fair share and Michael's typically gets my business.

I like coming here on weekend mornings and getting something to munch on and a coffee. It's typically busy, but its a pretty large place and there is room to eat outside if its a decent day.
I have also come here for later meals and the sandwiches have been good and the people working there have always been pleasant.
I consider it a neighborhood bakery, but I know they have a few throughout the area. (and beyond?)

This is actually in Phinney Ridge, but its close enough I thought you may not mind. I really enjoy this place for a relaxing place to meet friends after work. Good beer on tap, and a small deck for when the weather is good, or you need a cigarette. They used to allow dogs there, not sure if that's still the case.

I knew this place would be great...
from the moment I walked in there and the DJ was playing a Mr. Bungle song. It's known as a metal bar and attached to the Vogue, so it's usually a mix of metalheads, goths, and for whatever reason,...

One of the best parts of the Juj was the ambience. It was dark (all black walls), smokey, had great art on the walls, and cool glass designs over the bar where there was a shark tank. If you get there too late, its definitely hard to get a seat, but it's not packed like a pioneer square bar, just busy.
The bartenders were quick and poured good drinks. Alas, as far as I know, it has shut down and the bar/staff moved to Neumo's. At least that's what I have heard, haven't been by there in a few months.
