Review of: Shope Richard I Attorneys At Law PA Atty

My mother has used Richard Shope many many times to do her real estate closings. He has a perfect location right on Friendly avenue and it is a big historic looking house that has been turned into an office. There is plenty of parking and the staff is very friendly in general! If you are buying or selling a house, give them a call and see what the rates are. They are very competitively priced and give a great service.

Review of: Chakras Spa By Panache

Chakra's is the trendiest salon that we have in town. You can tell where it is just by driving by, because the decor really stands out and looks very unique. Chakra's could be picked up and put down in the heart of LA and fit right in. The staff all look good and have very nice hair (which is a good sign) and the store is more like a day spa than just a hair salon. The atmosphere is very zen and the decoration of the inside and outside of the building make you want to come back. It is an experience!

    Review of: Greensboro Grasshoppers

We have a new stadium downtown and a new baseball team to play in it. They are surprisingly enough called the Greensboro Grasshoppers. I am guessing that this name came from the fact that everyone if trying to be politically correct and not name their team something that could offend someone. They are pretty darn good for such an awful name and we enjoy watching them play. Or should I say that we enjoy the drinking and socializing while they play?

  • Oh the wonderful smells!

    Review of: Baker's Club the

I was shopping at TJ Maxx and Ross the other day on Battleground and stopped in to the Baker's Club for a bottled water. I found heaven on earth as soon as I opened the doors. The smells were amazing and they had racks and racks of homemade desserts. The prices seemed good and the lady working there was very friendly. I am sadly on the Zone diet and have just lost 10 pounds, so I was not able to buy anything. So drive over there, all of you that are not on the Zone diet and buy something in my honor. Preferrably something chocolate!

    Review of: Cummings Auto Service

When I need my car inspected or something done to my truck, I drive it or sometimes push it to Cummings. That is one of the benefits of living nearby, that I can push it in. I had a flat tire and had to push the car the rest of the way and they fixed it right up. I needed my car inspected in a hurry and they got the job done. The only problem I had with them was the staff smoking right in your face when you are coming in to fill out paperwork...I really cannot abide that in and establishment.

    Review of: Bill's Pizza Pub

It seems like Bill's Pizza has been around since the dawn of time. It is on High Point Road and has been a fixture my entire life, and my dad remembers eating there as a teenager. The pizza is awesome and slightly reminescent of high school cafeteria pizza in that it comes in little squares. The food is good, the building is old but clean and in good shape. Drop in and try the hamburger pizza...it is really very good!

Review of: Logos Christian Book Store

My dad spends a lot of time at Christian bookstores, being a pastor and all and he really likes Logos. I have been in a few times and feel like they do have a pretty good selection for you to choose from. They have all the different translations of the Bible, fiction, the Veggie Tales videos and DVDs, and lots more. Check it out if you are shopping for Christian or just uplifiting literature in Greensboro. The store is right off if Battleground and very easy to find!

  • Best wings in town!

    Rating:

    Review of: Golden Dragon Restr

If you go to the Golden Dragon, you can order a huge amount of the BEST wings in Greensboro. They can even do all drummettes if you are into that sort of thing. They sell them in increments of 25 and last time we had a party I got a hundred wings for around sixty bucks. That is a steal, I am telling you. These are extremely meaty and not wet like everyone else's wings...they have the spices baked in. The food is good as well, especially the lo mein but the wings are the best!

  • 2 levels to Haven!

    Review of: Haven's Gate

Haven's Gate is one of the most creative local stores I have been to in a long time! There are two floors of browsing and buying delight filled with vases, picture frames, mirrors, furniture, garden decor, and tons more. You cannot list all the fun things that they carry. The prices are a little more high end, but I believe it is because of the quality and style of the merchandise they carry. It is definitley a one of a kind store perfect for anyone. Check it out.

  • Car problems.

    Review of: C & J Auto Repair

I have had my car fixed at C&J a few times and am giving them a six out of ten on my sliding scale. They did a terrific job of fixing my car, but the people were not very friendly and the prices were way too high. I had to get a bigger part on my truck replaced and they charged me two hundred dollars more than a couple of other places that I priced after the fact. I was naive and silly and did not price it beforehand. Do you know what I could have bought with that extra two huundred?
