Amazing Design with Attention to Native Plants and Environmentally Friendly Landscapes
Review of: Rainlily Design and Landscape
Are you interested in taking the exterior of your house to the next level? Kim Beal and Stephanie Scherzer have many years of experience creating lush beautiful landscapes at homes around Austin. Lacking the pretense of many of Austin's acclaimed designers but lacking none of the skill these women will work with any budget and truly seek to find the vision of the homeowner. Honestly, your imagination and pocketbook are the only limits on what these women can do. In addition, they pay close attention earth friendly landscaping practices and use natives whenever possible. This past spring they were featured on the Austin Men's Chorus Garder Tour for a beautiful Asian inspired gardenscape for a famous Austin singer. Check out their website for pictures of their vision and style.

Who thought a church like this exists
Review of: Gateway Community Church
Gateway Community Church is an oasis of fresh spirituality in a sea of nappy fake churches. Do not be deceived it is not Christianity Light but it is a very comfortable place to check out faith for the first time or when it's been awhile. Even veteran church goers will appreciate the lack of pretense that it's members have and the fact that there is a deep community of Christ followers and spiritual seekers waiting to connect with you once you decide to. The music simply rocks, any high pressure to give or participate is nonexistent, the religious jargon is thrown out and a good message that will improve your life is given every Sunday. You have four service times to choose from, starting as early at 9am and as late as 1pm. As the reading rainbow guy always says, "but don't take my word for it." Chek it out for yourself!

Hyde Park Charm with Excellent Fresh Italian Food
Review of: Asti Trattoria
Asti Trattoria is a special place to eat. Not only is it located in historic Hyde Park neighborhood but it has amazing ambiance inside as well. Asti has a very modern décor and is situated much like a New York City eatery but without the NYC cost. In addition to the sophisticated décor it is also very homey. Parking is not a problem because there is plenty available in the neighborhood. But obviously the crowning achievement is the food. If I could recommend any of their dishes to you, I’d recommend the Antipasti Plater, wonderful with the Prosseco, their home style rigatoni dish I forget the name of and their amazingly delicate salads. One final reason I recommend this place is that they have a wonderful wine list with some good quality wines.

Sex Store for the Classy
Review of: 365 Days 365 Ways
If you don't normally like sex stores and find them too trashy (let's face it they are) then 365 Days 365 Ways is for you. You can buy those sexy items without the trash. They have really cool unique lingere, very boutique. The place itself is small so you won't be around a bunch of other people shopping for your secret toys.

So fast and so helpful
Review of: A1 Imports
I don't have alot of money and when my window of my car was unexpectedly smashed out I called my dad. He said to get the part myself from A1-Imports. The guy Matt there was so friendly and helpful. He pulled the part for me from their junk yard that day and had it waiting for me when I went to pick it up. The part cost me $25 when new it would have cost over $100. He even told me where I could take the part to have it fixed. Most repair places won't let you do this, they make you buy a part from them. So I save a bunch of money. I'd go back there in a heart beat if I ever needed too. These guys are straight up.

Jazzercise is for all ages
Review of: Jazzercise at the Northwest Recreation Center
It's mainly women but there are some men and it's an all ages thing. Exercise, jam to the latest hits and some older ones and put a little dance in your step. It's pretty cheap for unlimited classes, about $35 a month, no contracts. Check the www.jazzercise.com to find one in your area, prices are different for each place because they are independent francises. I like the Northwest Recreation one myself.

Expensive but worth the money
Review of: Club Deville
It has an ecclectic crowd, great music on their playlist. Their drinks are expensive but they are doubles, much larger than any other place I've seen. Be hip, have a cocktail, hang with the older trendy hipsters who are tired of sixth street.

Great Apps in the Bar, The Best Cocktails in Town
Review of: Bitter End Bistro & Brewery
These guys use fresh juice for their martinis and cocktails. I recommend getting one of their cosmopolitans, complete with twisted lemon rind. Also, check out their appetizers, especially the calamari! Remember, the B-Side Lounge is inside the Bitter End Restaurant, just to the left of the hostess stand. My favorite bar in Austin.

Great Gelato, Even better atmosphere
Review of: Dolce Vita Gelato & Espress
I like this place for the atmosphere, it's european and very neighborhoody. The coconut sorbeto is the best! Also, they'll let you get two flavors. They also have a full bar and a great selection of good scotch.

You want the best Sushi in Town? go here
Review of: Musashino Sushi Dokoro
While, they do cost some bucks, (expect to spend at least $25 a person) it really is the best sushi in town. It's always fresh, otherwise they won't serve it. The guys on www.austinsushi.com agree with me. Try the Evil Knevil Roll and the Spicy Tuna Roll, both are excellent.
