Beefalicious
Review of: Portillos
This place is a meat lovers Disneyland. Hot dogs, huge --I mean huge-- beef sandwiches, hamburgers, you name it. It's so so good. You have to try it. The convenient thing is that there is a drive thru so you don't need to exert any energy or burn any calories walking into the restaurant to get your beef on.

Shady Lady
Review of: Skin Wellness Center of Chicago
I would have recommended Dr. Brooke Jackson until recently. ..
They either have incompentent billing department or they are engaging in some shady practices.
To make a long story short they double-billed my insurance company and then when I was trying to figure it out with them they sent my account to a collections agency. When I contacted them about this they said oh sorry we didn't read the notes in the account. Because of their mistake my credit could have be affected. I think that this kind of stuff probably happens with lots of doctors offices but you do need to pay attention. I would warn anyone to stay away from this office or make sure that you really monitor their billing practices.
Also, just as an update. I found out that some of the procedures she did on my skin weren't actually necessary!! Aggh I found this out from a new doctor.- Posted on 6/7/2006

Marshall's or TJ Maxx
Review of: TJ Maxx
These places have the best sheets. You can find really high-thread count sheets from brands like Ralph Lauren. There are tons in the Chicago area.

I love this place
Review of: Impulse Boutique
Impulse is the best place in Seattle to find ultra cool, hip, wearable clothes and great service. Impulse carries clothes from classically hip designers like Vivienne Westwood (known as the Grandmother of Punk) . They also have great jewelry including some really unique pieces by local designers. The staff is really friendly and unpretentious.

Big Disappointment
Review of: Cascadia Restaurant
We went to Cascadia for my husband's 35th birthday. I had heard so many good things about it and was to try it. It started to go downhill as soon as we were seated at perhaps the worst seat in the house - right by the kitchen doors (which make loud, annoying noises when they swing open). Our waitress was friendly but didn't seem knowledgable AT ALL about the menu. She couldn't recommend anything. For an expensive, upscale restaurant, I expected recommendations, knowledge about the food and how the chef had prepared it, where the ingredients are from, etc. Nope. None of that. I felt like I was at Red Robin - especially with all of the waiters almost tripping over our table on their way to the kitchen - oh except that I was paying $90 per person. Also, we were sitting there for about 10 minutes before we even got to talk to the Sommelier. He was actually very knowledable and friendly and sent us some free sparkling wine for waiting. He was the highlight of the night. The food was good but for such a high price tag I would have expected a wonderful dining experience that included great service.

Nice but not sure it was clean
Review of: Fremont nails
I went to Fremont Nails after not being able to get an appointment anywhere else. The service was good. They were very friendly and fast. However, I was a little alarmed because the bathroom was really dirty and I didn't see any of those sterilizing machines. After my nail technician accidentally cut me I was sure that I would pick up flesh eating bacteria and lose my finger. So far, no problems. Maybe it was clean? If you go there just make sure to ask if they sterilize their implements.

Another satisfied customer
Review of: Paneless Window Cleaning
After reading the reviews on Judy's Book I called Paneless Window Cleaning. I've never had my windows cleaned before so I wouldn't know how they compare to others but I found them to be fast, reasonable and polite. They did a great job on our windows and cleaned all of the screens too.

Laurelhurst Location is Much Better
Review of: Pro-robics
If you are really into step aerobics then Pro-Robics is the gym for you. Most of the people in the classes are over 50 for sure. But don't let that fool you into thinking it's easy. I've had to leave several classes because I couldn't keep up with the fancy footwork/lunge combinations. The gym also offers stairmasters and all that kind of stuff too. The Laurelhurst location is much bigger and brighter than the Queen Anne gym. The best thing about this gym is that it's really inexpensive. I think the monthly charge is $25 or less.

Similiar yet Superior to Subway
Review of: Georgio's Subs
Georgio's is nothing fancy. In fact it looks just like a Subway but in my opinion the sandwiches are slightly better. The luncheon meat is less slimey, the buns are a little tastier and they have a better cheese selection. I wouldn't go out of my way for it but if a Subway and a Georgio's were in the same strip mall, I'd go for Georgio's.
