Sanctuary Spa - Total Relaxation
Review of: Sanctuary Spa & Yoga
I've been to the Sanctuary Spa for facials and pedicures. They offer many other services including massages and the typical offerings of spas, along with a yoga studio next door.
When you drive up and see it's in a strip mall, across from a movie theater, you may be concerned about the atmosphere. Wait til you get inside. You'll forget you're anywhere near civilization. I've never heard traffic or anything else going on in the rooms outside of mine.
You'll be ushered down a hallway along side a stream built into the floor. Accept the cucumber water, even if you're not thirsty. It's delicious. A room will be prepared for you with two fluffy white bathrobes so you can have the size you desire. There will be massage slippers and a basket to place your clothes and belongings into.
Next, you spend some time in one of the steam showers. There are two in each changing room, one with lights and painted brightly and one dark and painted black for that dark, steamy experience.
After you've steamed yourself, put on your robe and slippers and wait for your technician to come and get you.
Back out to the hall area for you foot bath/massage that is included with your facial.
Last year they offered the pumpkin facial which makes your skin amazingly soft and makes you look forward to thanksgiving. I went earlier this year and it wasn't available but it might be back as we get into November.
The technicians are discreet, leaving the room while you climb into the warm, soft bed. After the skin analysis, it's very quiet and relaxing.
After the facial, you proceed to your next service or out to the hallway where you get a warm plum drink. Again, take it. It's good.
Prices are comparable or slightly higher than some other spas but well worth it for some pampering.- Posted on 10/9/2006

Issaquah Dental Arts
Review of: Issaquah Dental Arts
Another vote for Dr. Huysing. Great doctor with a superb staff. As relaxing as you can expect a dental appointment to be. State of the art equipment, waterfall wall in office with soothing bubbling sounds, tv glasses. Cookie dough flavored tooth polish? You bet!

Mmmm....garlic
Review of: Mediterranean Kitchen
Definitely the place to go for garlic. Everything is amazing here and as others have said, servings are enormous. My husband and I like to get it to go and take the food to the park in Bellevue which is very close by. If you go for dinner and bring your own container, they give you soup, otherwise you miss out on their amazing soup of the day. Also, bring spoons. One time we forgot spoons but remembered the container. They were nice enough to loan us metal spoons as long as we brought them back. Excellent service above and beyond. The waiters will make suggestions and they don't even make fun of you if you can't pronounce the menu items.
Just make sure your date is also eating the food. It's better if everyone has garlic breath.- Posted on 9/28/2006
