After bringing my car twice to Paul, at Irving Park Auto Repair he has gained my trust and business. Paul is the epitome of professional and caring. I was so impressed by the many thank you cards and letters that cover his office walls. Clearly he has been helping people for many years with their auto repair needs. In addition, I was so happy that Paul did some extra research for me and went above and beyond what was necessary for my cars' needs.

I went here for lunch with a friend and we enjoyed great sandwich and muffin. The staff was friendly and the store was extremely clean and well put together. I would much rather patronize a smaller, mom and pop business and this I found to be one of them. Located just west of Diversey and Sheridan, Red Hen Bread is a great addition to the area.

The sandwiches are the Great American Bagel are wonderful. Their bagels are fresh and delicious. I have found that my favorite bagel is the everything bagel. I have never had to wait a long time in line there, which is great that the staff is quick and efficient in moving things along. It is also convenient that there is a parking lot right in front of the store.

I went to Can's last night for a birthday party. The lay out and design of the bar I'd say is cool. I'd also say that through out the night they played a great selection of music.

Their beer selection, cans of beer specifically is long and there is something for everyone on the beer list. We were in the private party area for 3 hours and it was nice. I will say that I just had an average experience because none of their staff was pleasant. Specifically the bartender we had, she was abrupt and at times boarding on rude. I probably won't go there again for that reason only. I like to be treated with a bit more respect and honestly if you are nice, friendly and accommodating to the customers, chances are your tips will be better.

Webster Wine Bar is a terrific place to enjoy a glass of wine and some delicious appetizers.
I found the staff to be the epitome of accommodating, pleasant and friendly. I also found that the wine list and choices left me desiring to come back to sample some of the other options listed. They atmosphere is extremely cozy and warm. I can see Webster Wine Bar as the type of place to go to for a nice date or to enjoy some wine with friends.

This is one of my favorite places to get my nails done. Unfortunately I don't work downtown anymore so it is not so easy anymore to get to Michigan Ave. I would ask for Amy, she does the best French manicure. last a week and looks clean and classy. Be careful if you do during lunchtime, it can get very crowded.
I'd also recommend Fashion Nails for your eyebrow waxing!

I went to Hair Cuttery last week to have my hair blown out straight. I do this about once a year so I'm often looking for reasonable salons to straighten my extremely curly hair. Kat was very patient and attentive to my hair to get the blow out just right. Kat was very cool, we ended up having a nice conversation and she was really very kind.
I didn't make an appointment and I ended up only waiting about 10 minutes.

I have visited Pro Nails numerous times for a manicure and I am impressed by the service they provide. Quality manicures can be found here and they have always been nothing but pleasant when I walk in the door. In addition, the manicure ususally last longer than most places, up to a week on some occasions. The other services they provide are waxing and pedicures.

Tres Ambiance is an intimate and complete salon that is found on Lincoln Ave, just north of Roscoe Street.
I visited Tres Ambiance to get a manicure and I was most pleased with the service I received. I was greeted warmly at the door and offered a drink. When seated for the manicure, I learned that in lieu of using water to soak my nails, they would be soaked in a warm lotion. It felt wonderful and of course my hands left feeling very soft. I was impressed with the manicure, the details taken to my nails and of course, the polish last just over one week, which is a sign that the polish was applied well. Ask for Maria to receive this outstanding manicure.
As customers enter the salon they are recognized and greeted by name. It is a small and intimate salon and most patrons have been going there for years. The services they provide include nails, waxing, facials and hair service.
I have felt so welcome there on several occasions that in addition to getting my nails done there I also plan to get my hair styled at Tres Ambiance.
