If you are in need of a relaxing day at the spa, I suggest you go to Gene Juarez. This is a very nice, professional and clean day spa. They ave many different services to choose from as well as packages available too. I had a "spa day" where I had a message, facial, body wrap and a vichi shower. It was so great. The prices are comparable to other spas maybe slightly more but very much worth every penny.

Do not do business with The Camera Shop in downtown Tacoma, WA. I dropped off a video cassette to be copied onto a DVD. I called several places and they could do it fairly fast. These people were going to take a couple days longer but the price was right so I went here. Not only was my product not ready when promised but when I told them they told me it would be ready and didn't hold up their end of the bargain, they said they would get it in that day. When I went to pick it up, they wanted to charge me extra for "rushing." They never mentioned that on the phone. I refused to pay the extra charge. I don't recommend using this vendor!

The Dental Health Associates is a great place to go if you are looking for a dentist. The hygienists are all very friendly as well as the office staff. They provide appointments early in the morning which is great if you need to get in before work starts. The office is just beautiful inside also. Everything is modern, clean and new. They have state of the art equipment too. One of the best things about this place is that they keep there appointments moving and you won't be sitting there waiting on them forever!

If you are looking for a dentist to take your children to, let me recommend South Hill Children's Dentistry. I really like this place. They will be moving into a brand new facility in the near future. The staff is very freindly and helpful. Making appointments is easy and fast. They are able to work around your schedule which I find very helpful too. There is stuff there, (TV, toys, etc) to keep your kids busy while they wait but you will not be waiting long. There will not be any sitting around waiting to be seen for half an hour. They get you in right away! They also have modern equipment which is great.

If you are looking for a good elementary school or if you are interested in finding out what parents think about Midland Elementary school, here you go. This is an absolutely wonderful school. The school is brand new, built and opened last year, 2003-04 school year. The teachers are just great and the office staff and principal are wonderful. Everyone who works there, looks happy to be there and that says a lot. The school works hard to give the kids a high level of education. My 2nd grader has already done a Power Point presentation!! The school is very active with activities and family events.

I want to let you know about this place called Art & Soul. This is a really neat place. This place is great with the kids or just an afternoon with your girlfriends. You can sit in the cafe and have coffee and muffins before you enter the pottery area. There you can pick from an assortment of pottery, glasses, plates, bowls, light switch covers, etc. After you pick what you want, you sit down at a big table and paint. This is so much fun, making your own creation. Then after you are done painting you give it to the attendant and they will fire it for you. It takes a few days before you get it back but when you do, it is cool to see your final result. Did I mention it was in Gig Harbor, right near the water? What a great weekend afternoon event!

I wanted to tell you about Fairy Godmother's Ballroom. This is a great place to hold your little girls' birthday party. The kids really love this place and it is relaxing for you also. The girls get to choose an elegant dress that they will get to dance in while in the ballroom. A Godmother will teach them dances and the parents will be the girls' audience. After dress up, dancing and a photo session the kids will get back into their clothes then move to another room for a cake that is provided and ice cream. This is a really fun place for the girls and this will be a birhtday they won't forget.

I just wanted to make parents aware of a daycare that I do not recommend. I had numerous issues with the daycare provider. My daughter was hurt on a field trip and I was never contacted about her injuries. When I went to pick her up, I was told she had been hurt and she "daycare provider" would carry her to me! I was shocked that I was not made aware of her injuries. Her ankle was severly swollen. We went directly to the ER were she had XRays. She spent the next 2 weeks on crutches. This is just one example of inadaquate care. Just be ware.

Let me recommend a little wine shop named Vinotique located in Lakewood, Wa. This is a really neat little shop. I purchased my wine for my wedding here...at a very reasonalbe price. They were able to get me a wine that is pretty hard to find. They were very helpful and friendly. They also have a deli inside and some small tables so you can sit dwon and have lunch. I think this would be a cool place to sit and eat with a date.
