It is about an hour and 15 minute one way from Arlington to Sachse. I know, because I've now made this trek 5 times. It was worth every minute. Amy took my pregnancy and then my son's newborn photos, and the final product was worth every second in the car and every penny we spent. Her photos have a gorgeous luminosity. She can do color but mainly works in black and white. Several people who have seen my pictures have commented that her photos look a little like Anne Geddes. I somewhat agree, in that she can get that gentle, snuggly look but her style really is all her own. She takes a long time for each session, especially for the newborn photos, and makes sure that she gets something special. Our first session with my son was a wash because he was upset, but she cheerfully rescheduled and got the most amazing photos the second time around. She is very expensive, much more so than a place like Sears or Picture People. The expense is definitely justified by the final product, though -- I have unique, amazing pictures that I'm going to treasure forever.
