Global Exchange, located on the corner of College Avenue and Russell Streets in Berkeley, imports handmade items from third world countries. Your purchase at Global Exchange benefits the person who made the item, a percentage of your purchase goes directly to the people who made it.
You can find all sorts of unique gifts at Global Exchange. They have a selection of clothing, children's toys, jewelry, and kitchen items that you can't find anywhere else.
They also have a nice array of tibetan singing bowls, one of which I recently purchased for a friend's birthday. I also was able to get a very nice birthday card with free beautiful gift wrapping and bow.
