Review content:
I came accross the Hot House Womens spa last winter while searching for a friendly, inexpensive place for a nice hot tub soak and sauna. What I found was an warm, low key haven right off of Pike Street on Capital Hill. To reach the Hot House you go down some stairs off of 11th, and then, after ringing a doorbell, you enter a small room where you take off your shoes, have the option of renting a towel or buying a sponge, and can arrange a massage.
Then you proceed through a curtain to a dressing room with dim lights, heated floors, and fresh lime water. You undress (no bathing suits/clothes are allowed in the hottub), take a shower in a nice shower room, and then proceed to the main room. Here you will find a large tiled hot tub, a lavender infused steam room, a dry sauna, and a large cold dump shower. Access to all of these features are included in the entrance fee.
The general atmosphere is medatative and quiet, and clean with low lighting.
No men are allowed into the Spa.
I love this place. It is the perfect inexpensive cure for the cold bones of winter.
