15 hole golf course?? Thats not a typo. This used to be a full 18 holes back when it opened, forever ago, but due to LAX's last renovation three of the holes here were swallowed up to make room for more runway. What that leaves is problematic in two ways. First, no one I know really likes to play 15 holes of golf. Its hard to judge your score, you're not really into it, and even those 15 holes seem short. I'd almost rather they made the course a long 9 hole, but hey, you get what you get. Second there is an unbelievably annoying amount of noise from planes taking off and landing all the time. What this combination makes for is a nice course which plays terrible. There are plenty of tough holes, dog-legs and water hazards, but the noise is just too much for me. Played here twice, but couldn't take it any more. I believe they offer night play as well, but I don't think adding any more difficulty to an already demanding course is necessary.
