Both my little dog and I are in our old-lady years, and I have avoided taking either of us to the doctor because I don't have insurance any more and couldn't afford it. Medical care is expensive, for people and pets! I was very uncomfortable at first, talking about my financial situation with strangers, but Dr. Luke and her vet tech cared enough about Missy to help me push past my embarrassment and talk it through. Their persistence and single-minded focus on what was best for my Missy helped me see that being low-income didn't have to stop me from getting my little dog the medical attention she needs. When I didn't qualify for the CareCredit, her staff helped me set up a schedule of care that I could save up for. I wish my own doctor would do that when I need lab tests, medications or surgery! This doctor did right by us, and took a lot of their time to help me find a way to help my dog, in the best way I could afford. It wasn't easy for any of us, but you can bet I'll go back there whenever my dog needs care, because they cared enough to work it out with us.
