Review content:
You are a "politically" conscious parent, and you don't want your kids to be playing with toys that promote violence, traditional gender roles, or couch potating. You want toys that stimulate imagination and will promote good mental development. Well, I'm not a child psychologist so I can't say whether the type of toys you find at Growing Tree or any number of places like it really do that for you. But I can say that you will not find your ordinary Barbie dolls or action figures here. Toys here can be elaborate or simple, and most of them do promote building or creativity. The prices are a bit high, but that is normal for stores of this type. What makes the store truly great is that you can go in and simply play with the toys, even if you don't have children yet, like me.
