Businiess name:  Chestnuts Salon & Day Spa
Review by:  Amy C.
Review content:
I don't know why so many RI'ers get defensive when someone mentions Chestnuts. Personally, I think it's because they're too cheap to spend the money on superb hair maintenance and they prefer to slink off into strip-mall salons and save themselves the $60-80 so they can splurge on industrial sized acrylic talons instead. But I digress. Chestnuts is an authentically good salon. That means the staff are professional, well-trained and would never, ever snap gum in your ear while they scissor around you. They also believe in the truest sense of style; that not everyone needs a "you know, like Rachel from Friend's" haircut. In particular, veteran Stylist Rick has an uncanny ability to find a perfect cut that emphasizes one's features, not the other way around. The other stylists are quite adept as well, and the salon offers a full range of services. Be warned, though: they book early and fast. Once you get in, make your next appointments immediately or you'll lose your turn.
