Texas is HOT, I am sure you all know that. So were do you go when the heat is beating down on you and the kids just " Haaaave to get out of the house" ( Insert whiny voice) It's Wave pool time! Eagle Pointe Recreation center in Mont Belvieu offers a pristine pool that starts at "beach level" where the waves lap at your feet, great for toddlers who have their parents holding them at all times, to as deep as 6 ft. however with the wave action, the swells can get a about 2-3 ft high. They have inner tubes to use to ride the waves with, a Island up at the beach that has palm trees that spray mist to keep you cool ( most of the moms with the babies/toddlers/little kids take it over. There are picnic tables, sand volleyball, a pool food! Hamburgers,, drinks, candy, all the summer stuff. They have lockers for rent and restrooms/changing rooms. Free admission for 2 and under but for everyone else its $5.00 daily admission ( they stamp your hand if you want to come back later in the day) and $3.00 for 65 and over. The wave pool is open 7 days a week through Aug 7th after that its only open on weekend til labor day weekend Sept 3,4,& 5th For a great summertime fun with out having to drive all the way to Houston, this place is the best.
