I had heard excellent things about Swedish Institute from the therapists who work at my spa, that the teachers were amazing, the curriculum thorough, etc. However, I pulled my admission after 2 months of complete administrative ineptitude. The admission director never had our appointment times correct to complete my admissions, she never wrote down notes of our previous conversations, I received harrassing phone calls every 2-3 days informing me that I had X, Y, and Z to complete on my forms despite my repeated reminder that we had a set appointment time for those forms. The final straw was when the COO of the college left a message on my voicemail saying that my registration would be cancelled if I did not provide the documentation they required. This despite my speaking with the director of admissions and the director of the financial department that morning reconfirming (for the 5th time) our appointments for the next week. The next day when I spoke with the COO he apologized for the phone call. The admissions director had apparently been sitting in the same meeting and had neglected to tell him that she and I had an appointment. He then referred to her as "Stupid in the Head". I promptly pulled my admission and am attending another massage school where the teachers AND administration are professional and accomplished.
