This really is a great place and the food varies from good to incredible (depending on what one orders). Also, the beer selection is decent and they make a swell Bloody Mary. I would give it five stars, in fact, if it weren't for the shoes. I know, I know... what about the shoes? you ask! WELL, I was in there once when I saw a waitress take on HELL of a spill when she slipped on a wet floor. They are lucky it wasn't a 911 event with the thud that girl made. That's when I noticed they were all wearing regular sneakers. I used to work in restaurants, and we were always required to wear special non-slip shoes (which, by the way, don't cost more than cheap sneakers) to prevent just this type of thing. In a place with hardwood floors like that, the staff really should be wearing the right shoes. So, for the shoes, they lose a star.
