I contacted a Chinese man named Bo renting the "living room" in a 2 bedroom apartment at 2214 Sherman in Evanston. It is illegal to rent a room for such purposes in Evanston. Further, Bo is discriminating against non-Chinese people. It helps if you are a woman and Chinese when you meet him. This is also illegal to discriminate on sex and race. Here is his ad on CraigsList:

*Close to Noyes El Stop (Purple Line), shops, grocery store, restaurants
The apt. has two big bedrooms, one living room, one bathroom and one big kitchen. Laundry facilities located in the basement. Move in immediately. The room for rent is the living room. ~$410/month, all utilities included (heat, water, gas, electricity and internet). We organize the use of bathroom which will make the apt. comfortable.
One year lease (9/3/2007 – 8/31/2008), one month deposit. No pet, no smoking. Quiet and clean.
