Actually, I've had great luck with Santa Barbara Locksmiths!! I own a small retail store downtown (Santa Barbara Scrapbooks on Chapala Street) and I had a "bad guy" come into my store on a Sunday, just before closing, and slip into my back office to search for anything valuable. I lost about $400 in cash. I called Santa Barbara Locksmiths the next morning and the owner "Merrill" came over within two hours. He looked over my situation, was very kind to me since I was still upset, gave me numerous options to choose from, and after I decided I wanted a keypad entry lock installed on my office door, he sent an employee out to complete the job on the very next day. The lock was professionally installed and the employee even cleaned up every speck of the wood shavings he had dropped on the floor! The job was very reasonably priced, too. I've returned to their location many times now for copies of keys, I've always been treated wonderfully, which can sometimes not be the case in "manly" places like lockshops. Many Santa Barbara businesses support Fiesta by giving their employees time off to participate in the parades, or watch them with their kids, or to attend Fiesta related functions, especially on parade day. This doesn't make them a bad business, and they definitely deserve a second chance. Even though you may have been frustrated with them when you wrote your first review, check them out again... they really are a good Santa Barbara business!
