Being new in Plano, I wondered where I would get my hair cut, etc. I don't like a fancy frou-frou salon. I like a place that is friendly, unpretentious, and really good. I often find that storefront salons (and restaurants) look deceiving: you think they are not going to be anything special, but in there you find people who are really good at what they do and want to really serve people. Such is the case at Salon Michelle. I ended up there because I received a "Welcome to the Neighborhood" flyer with a 50% discount off my first salon service. I thought I would try it. Cindy Gilliam took time to really look at my hair, diagnosed the hack job I had gotten up in Seattle, talked with me about what I wanted, and then gave me some options. She gave me a great cut and a great perm. She was conversational but kept working and got everything done in a very reasonable amount of time. I will definitely return to Salon Michelle and Cindy. It was a professional, down-to-earth experience!
