I went into the store 7 pm Friday January 19 07 and looked at a bubble dress that had a sign above it stating it was 90% off. Upon buying the dress it wrang up for only half the original price on the tag. I advised the sign and the clerk told me that it was originally 48. I pd cash 15.18 total. Then I found a skirt again advertised sign 90 percent. It was 24 I pd 12.00. I did not examine the receipt until I got home When I got home I examined both receipts and the tags and found both to be represented at 28.00 and 24.00 respectively and only discounted 50%. I called the manager today and asked for my 17.00 back. She advised that they were putting up signs last night and that it had been slow and after the signs went up it was chaotic and some wrong signs had been put up and the dress was 70% off not 90% even though I pd 50%. I told her that I was willing to acknowledge that but I wanted my money back on my card since I was overcharged or I would contact you. She hung up. It is neither my fault they had the wrong signs, their computer computed the prices wrong at 50%, or that the sales rep blatantly lied to me about the price. All those bubble dresses were marked 28.00 BECAUSE I LOOKED AT THEM THE DAY BEFORE. I suspected something was wrong when i got home. This happened at the Bellingham location. I was able to speak to an associate at the management level and this issue was resolved not only efficiently but with courtesy and respect. Furthermore, I would like to say that I love Romy's clothes and think it is a wonderful store and although all involved believe it could have been handled better we all recognize that this was a stressful time and I look forward to my next shopping experience there. Lisa
