Businiess name:  Spinato's Pizza
Review by:  Lisa G.
Review content:
I have my hubby to thank for finding Spinatos. If you go back to my very first review on JB it was a rave review about Johnnies-Dee’s Pizza. According to that review, they had the best authentic Chicago thin crust in town. Well, Spinatos is definitely up there with Johnnie’s. My hubby asked me which pizza I liked better but it’s really too hard to choose. But I think I would pick Spinatos as a first choice just because they have more regular hours and they are less than 5 minutes away. Johnnie’s is only open 4 days a week in the late afternoon and evenings. Spinatos is just as pricey as Johnnie’s especially with a delivery tip but I know they are a HUGE step above Pizza Hut and Papa John’s so you definitely get pizza that is worth it. The manager wanted to know what I thought of the pizza and I have to say it’s one of the best tasting pizzas I’ve ever had and that includes pizza joints from Chicago…so they will definitely keep a customer, but I just wish we could afford it more often. It’s good to spread the word though. They don’t normally put giardiniera (an Italian hot pepper mix) on pizzas there but they have them available for other items on the menu and were more than happy to put some on our pizza. I love a pizza place that will bend over backwards like that for its customer. They also have other yummy sounding foods on their menu like subs, calzones, pastas and antipasto that I haven’t tried yet but look forward to next time. Check out www.spinatos.com for more info on locations and menu items.
