What is it about mattress stores that makes you feel like you're being sold a used car instead of a new bed?
In the land of the blind, Bedrooms & More on 45th is the one-eyed-man and king. It's a single-store operation, not a huge chain, so the sales people have been there a while and actually know what they're talking about. They carry a wide range of product, including traditional spring and latex mattresses, plus a decent assprtment of bedframes & accessories. I'm not saying you'll buy them flowers, but you won't feel cheated, and you'll get a fair price on a high-quality bed.
