My wife and I had an opportunity to travel to Amarillo recently, and had a business lunch appointment. The local guy with whom we were meeting suggested this little place. We NEVER would have found it, or stopped there on our own. But it was FANTASTIC. They had a buffet style lunch, with fried chicken, pork ribs, and catfish ready to serve, as well as a number of different veggie choices (okra, sweet potatoes, green beans, corn). Every item I tried was great. And it was all hot, clearly having just been prepared (which you wouldn't expect from a buffet). This is clearly a family owned business, as various members of the family came out to give us drinks, or take our dessert order (I really recommend the kool aid, very good). The desserts were amazing. I had the Apple Dumplings, and tried some of the pecan chocolate cake/pie thing my wife had. Both were outstanding. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because of the location. If it were easier to find, this place would be a HUGE hit. Try it if you get a chance.
