I first started taking my Shih Tzu, Nora, to Moppets for grooming because of convenience. I've stayed because the groomers at Moppets were the first to give suggestions that really worked to help clear up a chronic skin condition, resulting in softer skin and a more beautiful coat. Even Nora's veterinarian was amazed. Moppets treats each dog as an individual, and uses different products as needed to make each one look and feel the best! So now that Brendan lives with us, his much fuller coat gets different treatments at Moppets.
Twin sisters Karol Paulus and Kathryn (Kathy) Paulus Berks love their jobs, and it shows! They don't just groom and board dogs of all breeds, in a new facility built just for that purpose, with outstanding skills, at highly competitive prices; they do it with the love and care they lavish on their own animals. So if you refer to your dogs as "the kids", carry their photos in your wallet, and want them to look "just so", Moppets is the place for you!
In addition to the grooming boutique and boarding kennel, the sisters own top dogs in their respective breeds. In fact the best way to tell the sisters apart is to getting them talking about their dogs. Kathy is the "small dog" specialist, having owned, bred, and showed champion Shih Tzu for over ten years, beginning with the beloved "Moppet" for whom the business is named. Karol specializes in larger breeds, particularly Briards, showing in both conformation, obedience and agility. Karol is also an obedience trainer.
