Review content:
I live outside that city and discovered this little jewel through friends. Now, it's become a city visit tradition. Even on the first visit you are greeted like family and it only gets better with repeated dinings. Being more of a California wine drinker they have expanded my awareness of some fine Italian's, their recommendations have always been on target. The food is simply great and I often wonder if they have a gang of old Italian grandmothers at work back in the kitchen! It's got that home cooked, using the freshest ingredients taste, with the elegant presentation one expects today. I find the space just the right size but sometimes you'll have to enjoy the cozy bar before getting a table. If you get lucky or want to impress visitors or your partner, wait for one of the tables with a view of the Empire State Building. At night it's really quite stunning.
Pros: The food, wine list, atmosphere and killer view of the ESB
Cons: Popular, but worth the wait for a table
