Review content:
we stumbled on Hana after a friend told us they had the best Katsu Curry he's ever had, which isn't a common dish for a Japanese restaurant to be known for. As we entered for the first time we noticed lots of Japanese customers and yes, the owner/sushi chef is also Japanese. (as a general rule if the sushi chef is not native Japanese, then you better stick to the cucumber roll and water). Not only is their katsu curry amazing (i'd suggest getting the curry on the side though) they also have some of the best tempura in Seattle. Tempura is supposed to be light in color and not greasy which means they use fresh oil and you can really tell in the taste. Their sushi is decent as well and very reasonable! you can't compare it to a Saito or Nishino, but it's very fresh.....a step up from BlueC.
their prices are very reasonable and the service is great.......overall a great value!.............so do yourself a favor and get some real miso, green tea and sake in you.....you'll feel much better.
