Businiess name:  Maya Cinemas
Review by:  Leigh U.
Review content:
Before this theater opened last summer, my husband and I always drove over to Del Monte in Monterey for a movie. I do not go near Northridge Mall due to gang violence incidents; i.e. shootings, etc. We finally decided to try the new Maya Cinema in downtown Salinas. We've been there 3 times. The past two times, the theater was extremely messy. We had to step over popcorn and trash everywhere. It looked as though no one had bothered to sweep it all day, much less between shows. I guess I shouldn't have very high expectations for Salinas, but when I pay that much for a movie, I think the theater could be swept. The last time we saw a movie, we went back to Del Monte, and we probably will from now on.
