Just off North Avenue is this great Italian place that offers a lovely outdoor patio seating, complete with huge umbrellas for the sun or rain, and gasburners for those cool fall nights. (It's enclosed, trust me, you stay warm). The pizzas are great (woodburning oven), the risottos (3 kinds) are phenomenal (love the one with mushrooms) and the pastas are fresh made with great sauces. I don't know what they put in that garlicky-creme spread they serve at dinner but I could eat it plain, straight out of the container! One of the best tiramisu desserts in the city, but try the tortoni, a spumoni ice creme with rum, almonds and whipped creme--fabulous!
