Review content:
Dawahares may very well have been in Lexington since before I was born. I actually can't remember a time when the Dawahares store was not on Alexandria Drive, across from what is now Kroger grocery store. There are several Dawahares clothing stores in Kentucky, including one in Whitesburg, I believe, where they originated. The Dawahares store on Alexandria Drive is a little bit off the beaten path. I think the other store in Lexington is in Fayette Mall, and may be a lot busier, but I have noticed that Dawahares on Alexandria Drive always has a very well-stocked closeouts area in the back of the store. I have bought beautiful end-of-season items there for a song, including some Liz Claiborne handbags that I still can't believe I only paid $5 for each at the time. I intend to go back soon on another handbag shopping spree. I recommend this Dawahares store to anyone who likes beautiful, casual clothing and accessories. They carry only misses sizes for the most part, so if you are a petite or a plus size, the clothes may not fit you, but don't miss out on the handbag and accessories bargains.
