I just called the local number and a lady's recorded voice apologized for directing me to another number, 630-620-5540 and 773-486-9548 both direct you to 773-804-0380. I called the latter number and explained to the lady, the same voice, that I recently went through a divorce and currently a foreclosure as a result and that the place I was moving to did not allow pets. She seemed more interested in trying to convince me that I should not move there and find a place that would, even if I had to pay more. For over 5 minutes she attempted to make me feel horrible and make it seem like I was abandoning my pet without making any effort to make ends meet, even if the pet had to "suffer" for a little while. Feeling uncomfortable with trying to justify myself and explaining my dissolving financial status, I kindly tried to end the call but she became more persistent and assertive. I told her that I felt it was a mistake that I called her, that her site said "placement" and before I could finish she began yelling into the phone frantically "SCREW YOU!!!! SCREW YOU!!!!" and then hung up on me... and her site says Humane Society??? I doubt it. I'm very satisfied that I'm not taking my dog there. This place doesn't even deserve the star required to post this.
