After having delivered my first child at Erlanger East, I was disappointed to have to deliver my second at Erlanger's main campus downtown. I had toured the two facilities and knew which I wanted, but an unexpected c-section landed me downtown. The labor rooms are very small and haven't been remodeled in YEARS. Nothing warm and cozy about them. After my surgery, I was moved to my room, and once in the bed, moved to yet another room. This time, it was THE smallest room on the ward. No wider than a chair, the bed and the baby's bed. The bathroom was so small that the sink was out in the room, not in the bathroom. When I was moved to a larger room the following day, my meal requests did not follow. How hard would it have been for whomever brought my food up, to ask at the desk as to my location, since my old room was empty. Food was not really worth eating. Staff was friendly, although my final nurse was allergic to the flowers in my room and instead of switching patients, she just chose not to come around. It took over two hours to complete my discharge AFTER my doctor had discharged me. If there is a next time, I'll be back at Erlanger East.
