Review content:
The Catawba Science Center reminds of The Discovery Place only smaller. It's located in Hickory, North Carolina, which isn't far from here. A thirty to forty-five minute drive tops. It's an educational museum to teach not only about North Carolina but the world around us. They have exhibits to teach about the native plants and animals in North Carolina, complete with a "mountain spring". They have a rock wall and tree house. They have a touch pool where you can touch some marine life. You can experience what an earthquake feels like. They have new exhibits coming in all the time and the fee to get in is really cheap, only four dollars for adults. It's a great place to spend the day with the kids.
