Businiess name:  Battlefield Optical Dr. Edwin Hulse

Review content:
We carefully examined this Dr. before allowing him to do my 14 yr old daughter's surgery for strabismus a little over a year ago. When it's such a sensitive subject - your child's eyesight, only the best will do. Any fears we had initially were completely eased with this Dr. He has a calm gentle approach with children and adults & views his work as an exacting science. He made measurements & checked them over & over to make sure he had a correct reading. He did not rush thru the exam to get to the next patient. When we left there after the consultation, I knew he would give it his best shot. We entered the surgery doubt filled and wondering if her situation could be corrected at such a late age, but we were hopeful. We were astounded at the change in her eyes & her recovery from the surgery. My daughter now has beautiful eyes that look straight ahead to go with her beautiful smile. After the surgery was over, the Dr. came out to the waiting room & personally consulted with us about how the surgery went & it was very reassuring to see the great skill he had used to do the surgery. Later after coming home from the hospital, my daughter got violently ill, vomiting and such. We were very pleased when Dr. Hulse promptly returned our call during off duty hours and called in a prescription to calm her stomach. So, this Dr. is definitely one I can highly recommend to others. I have even sent my mother here after seeing how well he handled my daughter. After her surgery heal time was over with we also purchased glasses here & were again pleased. He has 2 locations, both in Fort Oglethorpe, one in the hospital & one on Hwy 2A, although I am told they are moving everything to one office eventually. He provides the usual opthalmology services like cataract surgery, and contacts & eyeglasses as well. Wait times are occasionally a 'little' long, but I know that this is because he's providing great care to some other deserving patient, so I will wait patiently anytime just to see this great Dr. I should also mention his staff is out of this world. One lady in the office went out of her way helping me sort out & fill out insurance forms so I could be reimbursed for glasses. She was really great about it and provided everything I needed to get my money back quickly.
