Review content:
Wegman's has a wonderful selection of cheeses, breads, meat and seafood, and baked goods. The cheese department has a wide variety of brands and a well informed staff to help with the selection. They almost always have a sample, so make sure you have some room to nibble when you arrive. The breads smelled amazingly fresh and were appetizing. The meat and seafood selection was incredible, with an extremely knowledgeable staff, who can help you with all of your cooking questions. The baked goods are delicious, lots of cakes, cookies, and other treats. My son loves the peanut butter cookies and the sugar cookies that come in playful shapes and colors.
The store is a bit overwhelming at first. It took me a few visits before I felt comfortable. The deli department was the only slight disappointment to me. I prefer the meat and sliced cheese from Harris Teeter. The service is excellent, though, with lots of staff present and eager to help. There are delicious samples everywhere, so as I said earlier, be prepared to be tempted. We are still working our way through many things. We have not tried the Asian food bar, though I've heard it is very tasty. Enjoy, it is a world unto itself.
