We took our teenage son's '90 jeep here b/c it sporadically would not crank and the engine would sometimes rev up to high. They kept this car 9 days from June 28th to July 7th, 2005 (after telling me when I dropped it off they would get to it the next day or I would NOT have left it) . I was given a bill for $75.00 with the notation "could not duplicate". They did admit they heard the engine rev up at least once but couldn't figure out how to fix it. To say my teenage son - who pays for repairs to this vehicle himself and I are furious is an understatement. We feel like we were ripped off. Why should we have to pay when they are not capable enough to fix it or at least give us a diagnosis. My husband and my son have both been stranded again in this car in the last l0 days b/c they couldn't figure out what to do at the automotive shop. Now we need to pay someone else to do the same thing we wasted 9 days and $75.00 paying them to do. My son has 2 part-time jobs and is starting college. We needed his car the 9 days they kept it. I feel they need to post a sign being honest saying - Warning - we will charge you $75.00 if we can't figure out what is wrong with your car and how to fix it".
